Pre-trib, mid-trib, post-trib – or should we just listen to what Jesus said? Never noticed how plainly clear Jesus lays out a pattern in Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21. Do you see it?

Peter, James, John, and Andrew are the specific disciples Jesus is talking to.

The question asked has two-three parts. The ‘and’ between 2 and 3 could mean 2 and 3 together, or 2 and 3 separate:

1. When will the temple be destroyed?
2. What will be the sign of your (Jesus) coming?
3. What will be the sign of the End of the Age?

THE BEGINNING of the Birth Pangs

– Many will come in His name and deceive

– Wars and rumors of wars

– Nations rise against nations

– Famines and earth-quakes

– Pestilences

– Terrors and great signs from heaven

THEN: Persecution of You (disciples)

– You (disciples) will be handed over to persecution and killed

– You (disciples) will be hated by all nations

– Give you (disciples) up and be given over to synagogues and prisons.

– You (disciples) will be brought before kings and governors for my name’s sake.

– This will be your (disciples) opportunity to bear witness.

– I (Jesus) will give you a mouth and wisdom in what to say.

– Many will be led into sin

– Many will betray one another – parents, brothers, relatives, friend

– Some of you (disciples) will be put to death.

– False prophets will appear

– Lawlessness will increase

– One who endures will be saved.

– Gospel will be proclaimed in whole inhabited earth

THEN: End will Come

– Jerusalem will be surrounded by armies, recognize her desolation is near. [Note: The Roman army surrounded Jerusalem and destroyed the temple in 70AD.]

– Abomination standing in the holy place (temple) spoken of by prophet Daniel

– Those in Judea flee to mountains

– Those in the midst of the city (Jerusalem) must leave.

– Those in the country must not enter the city.

– Pray YOUR (disciples) flight is not in winter or on a Sabbath

AT THAT TIME: Great Tribulation will come

– The Great Tribulation days will be shortened for the sake of the elect

– Great distress upon the land and wrath to this (??Jewish??) people.

– The people will fall by the edge of the sword and will be led captive into all the nations.

– Jerusalem will be trampled under foot by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.

– Do not believe those who say Jesus has come

– False messiahs and false prophets appear and produce great signs and wonders – may deceive even the elect

– YOU (disciples) do not believe when they say I am here or there

ARRIVAL OF JESUS – AFTER TRIBULATION

– Sun will darken – moon will not give its light

– Stars will fall from heaven – powers of heaven will be shaken

– In perplexity at the roaring of the sea and the waves.

– Men fainting from fear and the expectation of the things which are coming upon the world.

– The powers of the heavens will be shaken.

– THEN the SIGN of the Son of Man will appear in Heaven

– Tribes of earth will mourn

– Straighten up and lift up your heads, because your redemption sis drawing near.

– They will see the Son of Man arriving on the clouds Revelation 1:7 Dan. 7:13

– He will send out his angels with a loud trumpet call

– They will gather his elect (Rev 14)

LEARN – RECOGNIZE THE SIGNS

– When you (disciples) all these things, recognize He is near, right at the door.

– Recognize the kingdom of God is near.

– This generation (the disciples’ generation) will not pass away until all these things take place.

– Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away.
