S ay to the descendants of Jacob (Israel)

  1. Y ou saw what I did to Egypt
  2. I f you obey me fully and keep my covenant
  3. t hen out of all the nations you will be my treasured possession
  4. y ou will be for me a kingdom of priest
  5. a holy nations
  6. M oses set before them all the words of the Lord
  7. T he people all responded together, we will do everything the Lord has said

Exod-24 (1446 BC)- All the words of Adonai and the ordinances

  1. M oses told all the words of Adonai, as well as all the ordinances
  2. A ll the people with one voice said they would do all that Yahweh had spoken
  3. M oses wrote the words of Adonai down
  4. T ook the Scroll of the Covenant and read it to the people
  5. A gain all the people said they would do and obey
  6. S ealed by a blood covenant
  7. W ent up on the mountain for 40 days and 40 nights
  8. A ll the people, the multitude which included Israelites as well as foreigners, were required to keep all the ordinances

Exod-31 (1446 BC) - Shabbat

  1. You (the multitude) must keep my Shabbat
  2. as a sign
  3. between Yahweh and the multitude
  4. throughout the generations
  5. So you (the multitude) will know I am Adonai who sanctifies you
  6. Keep it because it is holy for you
  7. Everyone who profanes it will die
  8. whoever does any work will be put to death
  9. Israel is to keep the Shabbat throughout their generations
  10. as a perpetual covenan
  11. It is a sign
  12. between Yahweh and Israel forever
  13. for in six days Adonai made heaven and earth
  14. on the seventh day he ceased for work and rested
  15. THEN he gave Moses the two tablets of the Testimony (these are the ones Moses smashed)
  16. tablets of stone
  17. written by the finger of God

Exodus 33 - The Lord said leave, go out to the land I promised on an oath to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (Abrahamic)

Exod-34 (1446 BC) - Second set of tablets

  1. Before all your (Moses) people I will do wonders
  2. such as have not been done in all the earth or nation
  3. all the people will see the work of Adonai
  4. Obey what I am commanding you today
  5. I will drive out enemies before you
  6. Watch yourself and make no covenant with the inhabitants of the land where you are going
  7. it will become a snare among you
  8. break down their altars
  9. smash their pillars
  10. cut down ther Asherah poles (trees)
  11. bow down to no other god
  12. Adonai is a jealous for His Name
  13. they will prostitute themselves with their gods and sacrifices
  14. you will be invited
  15. you will eat from their sacrifice
  16. do not take theri daughters for your sons
  17. Do not make metal gods
  18. Keep the feast of Matzot (Unleavened bread)
  19. for in the month of Aviv you came out from Egypt
  20. Every firstborn is Mine
  21. Six days you will work, seventh rest
  22. during plowing time and harvest you must rest
  23. Observe the feast of Shavuot (First Fruits)
  24. Observe the Feast of Ingathering (?? tabernacles or trumpets)
  25. Do not offer the blood of My sacrifice with hametz
  26. nor should the sacrifice of the Passover Festival remain until morning
  27. Bring the choicest firstfruits of your land to the House of Adonai your God
  28. do not boil a kid in its mother’s milk
  29. Moses - write these words for based on these words I have cut a covenant with you and with Israel
  30. Moses stayed 40 days and 40 nights
  31. He did not eat bread or drink water
  32. He wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant: the Ten Words
  33. The skin of his face was radiant because God had spoken to him
  34. He gave all Israel the mitzvot that Adonai had spoken to him
