2025 Sukkot Day 1

Sukkot 2025

Sukkot = temporary booth, hut, or tabernacle

A time to

Numbers 15

And יהוה [YHWH] spoke to Mosheh [Moses], saying, “Speak to the children of Yisra’ĕl [Israel], and say to them ..One law  is for you of the assembly and for the stranger who sojourns with you – a law forever throughout your generations. As you are, so is the stranger before יהוה [YHWH].

One Torah and one right-ruling is for you and for the stranger who sojourns with you.’ “

Leviticus 23/Numbers 19

And יהוה  [YHWH] spoke to Mosheh [Moses], saying,

Speak to the children of Yisra’ĕl [Israel], saying, ‘On the fifteenth day of this seventh new moon is the Festival of Sukkot for seven days to יהוה [YHWH].

‘On the first day is a set-apart gathering, you do no servile work.

‘For seven days you bring an offering made by fire to יהוה [YHWH]. On the eighth day there shall be a set-apart gathering for you, and you shall bring an offering made by fire to יהוה [Yahweh]. It is a closing festival, you do no servile work.

‘On the fifteenth day of the seventh new moon, when you gather in the fruit of the land, celebrate the festival of יהוה [YHWH] for seven days. On the first day is a rest, and on the eighth day a rest.

Leviticus 23

‘And you shall take for yourselves on the first day the fruit of good trees, branches of palm trees, twigs of leafy trees, and willows of the stream, and shall rejoice before יהוה your Elohim for seven days.

‘And you shall celebrate it as a festival to יהוה [YHWH] for seven days in the year – a law forever in your generations. Celebrate it in the seventh new moon.

‘Dwell in booths for seven days; all who are native born in Yisra’ĕl dwell in booths, so that your generations know that I made the children of Yisra’ĕl dwell in booths when I brought them out of the land of Mitsrayim [Egypt]. I am יהוה [YHWH] your Elohim.’ ”

Deuteronomy 16

Perform the Festival of Sukkot for seven days after the ingathering from your threshing-floor and from your winepress, and you shall rejoice in your festival, you and your son and your daughter, and your male servant and your female servant, and the Lĕwite [Levite], and the stranger and the fatherless and the widow who are within your gates. “For seven days you shall celebrate to יהוה [YHWH] your Elohim in the place which יהוה [YHWH] chooses, because יהוה  [YHWH] your Elohim does bless you in all your increase and in all the work of your hands, and you shall be only rejoicing!

Exodus 29

And let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them.

“And I shall set apart the Tent of Appointment and the slaughter-place. And Aharon and his sons I set apart to serve as priests to Me. “And I shall dwell in the midst of the children of Yisra’ĕl [Israel] and shall be their Elohim. “And they shall know that I am יהוה [YHWH] their Elohim, who brought them up out of the land of Mitsrayim [Egypt], to dwell in their midst. I am יהוה [YHWH] their Elohim.

Numbers 9

And on the day that the Dwelling Place was raised up, the cloud covered the Dwelling Place, the Tent of the Witness. From evening until morning it was above the Dwelling Place like the appearance of fire.

Exodus 40

And the cloud covered the Tent of Appointment, and the esteem of יהוה [YHWH] filled the Dwelling Place. And Mosheh [Moses] was not able to come into the Tent of Appointment, because the cloud dwelt on it, and the esteem of יהוה [YHWH] filled the Dwelling Place. And when the cloud was taken up from above the Dwelling Place, the children of Yisra’ĕl [Israel] went onward in all their journeys. But if the cloud was not taken up, then they did not set out till the day that it was taken up. For the cloud of יהוה [YWHW] was on the Dwelling Place by day, and fire was on it by night, before the eyes of all the house of Yisra’ĕl [Israel], in all their journeys.

Esteem: Hebrew: kavod (כָּבוֹד), which can mean glory, honor, weight, or respect, implies something of great value or worth. Greek: doxa similar connotations of esteem, honor, or divine majesty. I confirmed this is the same words used through all the scriptures we read. This is the first time I noticed that word because we usually read “glory” and we have this mind set on that. But by reading the definition, it carries more weight to it. Like in this it would be The honor, great value of Yah filled the Dwelling Place.

Ezekiel 27

“And I shall make a covenant of peace with them – an everlasting covenant it is with them. And I shall place them and increase them, and shall place My set-apart place in their midst, forever.

“And My Dwelling Place shall be over them. And I shall be their Elohim, and they shall be My people.

“And the nations shall know that I, יהוה [YHWH] am setting Yisra’ĕl [Israel] apart, when My set-apart place is in their midst – forever.” ’ ”

Matthew 1

“And she shall give birth to a Son, and you shall call His Name יהושע [Yeshua] for He shall save His people from their sins. And all this came to be in order to fill what was spoken by יהוה [YHWH] through the prophet, saying, “See, an ‘almah’ shall conceive, and she shall give birth to a Son, and they shall call His Name Immanu’ĕl,” which translated, means, “Ěl with us.

John 1

And the Word became flesh and pitched His tent among us, and we saw His esteem, esteem as of an only brought-forth of a father, complete in favour and truth. And out of His completeness we all did receive, and favour upon favour, for the Torah was given through Mosheh [Moses] – the favour and the truth came through יהושע [Yeshua] Messiah.

NOTE: Reading John 1 the first time after I came to the realization of Yah’s Appointed Times was shocking - dwell us - it just seems to hide the connections. It’s almost like our English translations IS the parable.

John 7

And about the middle of the Festival of Sukkot יהושע [Yeshua] went up into the Set-apart Place, and He was teaching. And the [Jews] were marvelling, saying, “How does this Man know letters, not having learned?” [Yeshua] answered them and said, “My teaching is not Mine, but His who sent Me. If anyone desires to do His desire, he shall know concerning the teaching, whether it is from Elohim, or whether I speak from Myself. “He who speaks from himself is seeking his own esteem, but He who seeks the esteem of the One who sent Him is true, and no unrighteousness is in Him. Yeshua said to them, “Did not Mosheh [Moses] give you the Torah? Yet not one of you does the Torah! Why do you seek to kill Me?” [Yeshua] therefore cried out in the Set-apart Place, teaching and saying, “You both know Me, and you know where I am from. And I have not come of Myself, but He who sent Me is true, whom you do not know. But I know Him, because I am from Him, and He sent Me. And on the last day, the great day of the festival, יהושע [Yeshua] stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me, and let him who believes in Me drink. “As the Scripture said, out of His innermost shall flow rivers of living water.” And this He said concerning the Spirit, which those believing in Him were about to receive, for the Set-apart Spirit was not yet given, because יהושע [Yeshua] was not yet esteemed.

NOTE: Again, this word esteem being used make so many connections backward. And it’s a bit more significant to me now.

Zechariah 2

“Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Tsiyon [Zion]! For look, I am coming, and shall dwell in your midst,” declares יהוה [YHWH]. “And many nations shall be joined to יהוה [YHWH] in that day, and they shall become My people. And I shall dwell in your midst. And you shall know that יהוה [YHWH] of hosts has sent Me to you. “And יהוה [YHWH] shall inherit Yehuḏah [Judah], His portion in the Set-apart Land. And He shall again choose Yerushalayim [Jerusalem]. “Hush, all flesh, before יהוה [YHWH], for He has roused Himself out of His set-apart dwelling!”

Isaiah 4, Revelation 1

When יהוה [YHWH] has washed away the filth of the daughters of Tsiyon [Zion], and rinsed away the blood of Yerushalayim [Jerusalem] from her midst, by the spirit of judgment and by the spirit of burning, then יהוה [YHWH] shall create above every dwelling place of Mount Tsiyon [Zion], and above her gatherings, a cloud and smoke by day and the shining of a flaming fire by night, for over all the esteem shall be a covering, and a booth for shade in the daytime from the heat, for a place of refuge, and for a shelter from storm and rain. To Him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by His blood and made us a kingdom, kohanim to His Elohim and Father—to Him be glory and power forever! Amen!

NOTE: here it says over all the esteem - so now the people are the esteem? And Yah’s esteem would be over them?

Revelation 7, 21

“Because of this they are before the throne of Elohim, and serve Him day and night in His Dwelling Place. And He who sits on the throne shall spread his Tent over them. And I saw a renewed heaven and a renewed earth, for the former heaven and the former earth had passed away, and the sea is no more. And I, Yoḥanan [John], saw the set-apart city, renewed Yerushalayim [Jerusalem], coming down out of the heaven from Elohim, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the heaven saying, “See, the Booth of Elohim is with men, and He shall dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and Elohim Himself shall be with them and be their Elohim.

NOTE: Once understanding Sukkot - this verse is much more significant. So we are participating in the foreshadowing, practicing and preparing to dwell IN the Booth of Elohim - which is literally a Name - meaning essence here. It’s a being.

Revelation 22

And he said to me, “These words are trustworthy and true. And יהוה [YHWH] Elohim of the set-apart prophets has sent His messenger to show His servants what has to take place with speed. “See, I am coming speedily! Blessed is he who guards the words of the prophecy of this book.”

Revelation 15

And they sing the song of Mosheh [Moses] the servant of Elohim, and the song of the Lamb, saying, “Great and marvellous are Your works, יהוה Ěl Shaddai! Righteous and true are Your ways, O Sovereign of the set-apart ones! “Who shall not fear You, O יהוה, [YHWH] and esteem Your Name? Because You alone are kind. Because all nations shall come and worship before You, for Your righteousnesses have been made manifest.” And after this I looked and saw the Dwelling Place of the Tent of Witness in the heaven was opened. And the Dwelling Place was filled with smoke from the esteem of Elohim and from His power, and no one was able to enter the Dwelling Place until the seven plagues of the seven messengers were ended.

Revelation 21

“And Elohim shall wipe away every tear from their eyes, and there shall be no more death, nor mourning, nor crying. And there shall be no more pain, for the former matters have passed away.”

And He who was sitting on the throne said, “See, I make all matters new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and trustworthy.”

Revelation 22

And they shall see His face, and His Name shall be upon their foreheads.

And night shall be no more, and they shall have no need of a lamp or the light of the sun, because יהוה [YHWH] Elohim shall give them light. And they shall reign forever and ever.

Zechariah 14

And it shall be that all who are left from all the nations which came up against Yerushalayim [Jerusalem], shall go up from year to year to bow themselves to the Sovereign, יהוה  [Yahweh] of hosts, and to celebrate the Festival of Sukkot.

And it shall be, that if anyone of the clans of the earth does not come up to Yerushalayim to bow himself to the Sovereign, יהוה [YHWH] of hosts, on them there is to be no rain. And if the clan of Mitsrayim [Egypt] does not come up and enter in, then there is no rain. On them is the plague with which יהוה [YHWH] plagues the nations who do not come up to celebrate the Festival of Sukkot. This is the punishment of Mitsrayim [Egypt] and the punishment of all the nations that do not come up to celebrate the Festival of Sukkot

Revelation 22

“I am the ‘Aleph’ and the ‘Taw’, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.

“Blessed are those doing His commands, so that the authority shall be theirs unto the tree of life, and to enter through the gates into the city.

“I, יהושע [YHWH], have sent My messenger to witness to you these matters in the assemblies. I am the Root and the Offspring of Dawiḏ, the Bright and Morning Star.”

The Ruach and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come—let the one who wishes freely take the water of life!

The One giving testimony to these things says, “Yes! I am coming soon!” Amen! Come, Lord Yeshua!  May the grace of the Lord Yeshua be with all!

Revelation 21

And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the great city, the set-apart Yerushalayim [[Jerusalem], descending out of the heaven from Elohim, having the esteem of Elohim, and her light was like a most precious stone, like a jasper stone, clear as crystal,

And I saw no Dwelling Place in it, for יהוה [YHWH] Ěl Shaddai is its Dwelling Place, and the Lamb. And the city had no need of the sun, nor of the moon, to shine in it, for the esteem of Elohim lightened it, and the Lamb is its lamp.

And the nations, of those who are saved, shall walk in its light, and the sovereigns of the earth bring their esteem into it.

And its gates shall not be shut at all by day, for night shall not be there.

And they shall bring the esteem and the appreciation of the nations into it.

And there shall by no means enter into it whatever is unclean, neither anyone doing abomination and falsehood, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.
